Cannock And South Staffs Pool League Sunday 25 26

Answers to the 2025/26 Season Proposals

1.Re-arranged Matches
As per the current constitution: no re-arranged league matches are to go over 1 month (4 weeks) from the cancelled date. No re-arranged matches to be played after the final league date.

2.Individual Competitions
Singles and Doubles from the Last 8 will be played on one finals night at 6 Pockets. These will be on separate nights (one for Singles, one for Doubles). Once the Last 8 are confirmed, a night will be arranged and communicated.

3.League Cup Finals
Finals from the Semi stage onwards will now all be on one Finals Night. Instead:
" Archers Groundwork Cup - Sunday
" Solberg Cup - Wednesday

4.Home & Away Fixtures
If a team refuses to travel for an away match, they also forfeit the home match against that team.

5.Doubles Frames
Players can now talk through doubles frames. Referees have discretion to apply the shot clock if play is too slow. A warning will be given first - the next shot then goes on the 60-second shot clock.

6.Break Format
Reverted back to the system from a couple of seasons ago:
" Write down your first 4 players, then lag, then alternate breaks.
" Second session: write team down, then lag, then alternate breaks.
" Final frame (doubles): lag for break.
